Sources of Inspiration
Although I myself don’t follow any particular diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) or trends (Atkins, Paleo, 5:2), I strive to keep abreast of what leading nutrition experts are saying. Several authors and foodies have inspired me since I started studying nutrition.
Books I recommend
– For weight management read “The low-GL Diet Bible” by Patrick Holford
– For blood sugar balance read “Fat around the Middle” by Dr. Marilyn Glenville
– For more on energy read “Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome” by Dr. James L. Wilson
– For a scientific approach read “Digestive Wellness” by Liz Lipski
– For an Irish perspective on healthy eating read “Good Food” by Dr. John McKenna
– For healthy everyday recipes try “The Fit Foodie” and “Food for the Fast Lane” by Derval O’Rourke
– For great vegetarian recipes try “Happy Pear Cookbook” by David & Stephen Flynn
